RVYC CRUISER GROUP ANCHORING RESTRICTIONS IN STUDLAND BAY Attached is a copy of a communication received from Jim Atkins, Past Commodore, Christchurch Sailing Club. Those of you who have been on our rallies to Christchurch may remember meeting Jim there. He writes: ” I am actively involved on a committee from the Sailing and Yacht Clubs in the Bournemouth/Christchurch/Poole conurbation, representing our Club members in the matter of the proposed restrictions on Anchoring in Studland Bay. As this affects not only our local Clubs, but possibly some of your members when cruising, please find attached a letter that explains the current position together with a request for you to circulate your members for their views. We shall be happy to represent those of all Studland Bay users at our meetings with the various legislators and stakeholders.” We have used Studland as an anchorage on several of our rallies and intend to do so next July, when on passage to Weymouth.
