Annual Lift Out/Lift In

HSC has it’s own boat yard that can accommodate approximately 30 cruisers. A syndicate of club members who require winter storage ashore is formed each year to share the cost of the lift out and subsequent lift in. This operates on a first come first served basis as space/numbers are limited. Unsuccessful applicants will join the front of the queue for the following year. The whole process is managed by Anthony Frasle (Administrator) and Dave Davies (Organiser) so please contact Anthony in the first instance.

Typically the process involves:

1. Apply for join the Lift Out Syndicate. The deadline for applications is 15th November 2023

2. A date is set for the Annual Lift OUT (usually late Oct/early Nov)  and Lift In (usually 1 or 2 weeks before Easter weekend)

3. Deposit is paid

4. A crane is booked for the Lift Out/Lift In Dates

5. LIft Out Day

This is a busy and long day.  All members of the syndicate are required to attend for the entire day and stay until the end of the day even once their boat has been lifted out so that there are plenty of hands available for helping each other. Each skipper must ensure that their mast has been unstepped and is stored ashore before lift out day.

6. LIft In Day

This is a busy and long day.  All members of the syndicate are required to attend for the entire day and stay until the end of the day even once their boat has been lifted in so that there are plenty of hands available for helping each other.

7. Settle Up On Costs

The costs of the syndicate are recalcuated and any additional monies owed must be paid. Alternatively if there is a refund due this will be made.
