Gosport Marine Festival

I am sure you are aware of the Gosport Marine Festival, taking place on the 16th May this year at Haslar Marina, the Millennium TimeSpace and the Model Boat Ponds (Cockle Ponds). The event is made possible through the fantastic support from local sailing clubs and watersports providers, including Haslar Marina, GoSport Activity Centre, Andrew Simpson Sailing Foundation and others. We are still looking for some volunteers to help us on the day. This would primarily be to man the two registration tents where participants complete a simple booking form and familiarise themselves with the terms and conditions. One tent will be at the entrance to Walpole Park South (Cockle Ponds) near the roundabout at Halfords. The other tent would be near the north entrance to Haslar Marina, near the Pier. Once participants have registered they receive a wristband which shows they are able to attend any of the free watersports activites, including sailing trips from Haslar Marina.

Volunteers would be asked to ensure forms are filled in correctly, and issue wristbands. You would also be happy to speak to the public about all the events on offer across the whole Festival. If we have enough volunteers we may also stage a few people around the area to give further information.
