A small issue has come to light whereby members are logging on to SCM but continuing to pay by Bacs and not competing a card payment which is making it difficult to track. A request from Sue Charles to hold a wake in the club 6 Nov 24 @ 1400 was approved.
A formal complaint had been received in regards to alleged inappropriate conduct in the
club. The individual in question and several witnesses attended meetings with the Trustees
and the Commodore presented the Trustees findings to the Management Committee.
Following in depth discussion, the Committee decided that from the information available it
was difficult to establish the events beyond reasonable doubt therefore agreed a formal
letter would be sent to the individual outlining that any behaviour of this nature is not
tolerated by HSC as it contravenes the Club rules. Details will be kept on record and should
allegations of this nature occur again membership may seriously be affected.
AGM The Secretary confirmed that there had been no member AGM proposals submitted.
The Commodore proposed changes to the Rules and Bylaws to be presented at the AGM and
following discussion and amendment these were agreed by the committee for:
Rule 33 Storage
Proposed By-Law 5.8
Rule 20 Formal communication with Members
Section 8.a.1 Mooring Conditions
AOB
The Commodore put a proposal to the Committee to allow the running and repair costs for
the club launch be deducted from the mooring holders account as the majority of the use is
for the benefit of mooring holders and cruisers. This was agreed and approved.
The Sailing Committee advised there will be both Cruiser and Dinghy racing on Boxing Day
along with the traditional Paper boat Race.
The Social team advised that numbers were down for the Dinner Dance and that the 8 Nov
25 was the deadline. To run a viable event 50/60 attendees were required.
