Dinghy Section

Here you will find details of all aspects of dinghy racing at Hardway, including all race information. Also included are details of how to take out the Club owned dinghies and the Dinghy Captains regular Newsletters.
Hardway Sailing Clubs members have been sailing and racing dinghies since its inception in 1945, when both handicap and class racing were encouraged. The slipway is ideal for launching and boat recovery at near high water, and the new pontoon end with ramps allows for launching and recovery at all states of the tide.
On Tuesday nights we have a growing fleet of handicap racing. Full details of the 2025 racing programme can be found in the calendar section of the website. Whether you are an experienced racer or learning the ropes, come and join us, and if you have any questions, please contact the dinghy captain on the email address below.
There is a WhatsApp group for anyone who is interested in dinghy racing/sailing where members share pictures/videos of the dinghy racing and also the results from the races. If you would like to be included, please send your phone number by email to: dinghycaptain@hardwaysailingclub.co.uk
We will also endeavour to keep this page and the club social media accounts up to date for those who are unable to access WhatsApp.
Please keep an eye on the notice board and social media for any updates on training.
Junior week is an annual event where many on and off water activities take place. There is a lot of fun to be had, and the club comes alive with children and adults enjoying the week.
If you would like to provide any feedback about how the dinghy sailing is being run at the club or you have any new ideas, please contact the dinghy captain on the email address above.
2025 Dinghy Sailing Events can be found in the new website calendar section
All information on Dinghy Racing can be found in the "Dingy Racing" folder of the "dinghy Section"
