Matters Arising
Repositioning ofthe throttle on the Support boat to comply with current RYA standards is still
ongoing . RYA inspection also to be carried out prior to return to service.
Guidelines for the use of shore power discussed . Suggestions are :-
1. Removal of power cable before leaving the boat overnight or extended period.
2. Power cables may only be removed if current users credit has expired.

Health & Safety issues
Dinghy launching ramp on the Pontoon is fowled up and requires cleaning.

Reports
Cruiser Captain
A Draft copy of Cruiser Captains newsletter produced, Feedback required prior to its release on
Club website / Facebook / Social media.
In support of RNLI 200 year anniversary it is proposed to donate prize money from the last
Thursday Quiz/A whip round and perhaps the addition of extra (bottle) prizes to the weekly meat
Raffle.
Dinghy Captain
Laser dinghy mast repair were carried and Sail repairs are still outstanding
but should remain within the approved £710 budget.
It was proposed that a Dinghy Captains newsletter be produced.
Try a Club Dinghy event will be held & 7th April requiring at least one Support Boat.


Request made to use old Launch trolleys currently on the scrap pile for Pecos.

Race Officer
Pre season race meeting 26th March for Race Rules, Race Charts and Course sheets.
1st 2024 Cruiser race Sunday 7th April.
1st 2024 Dinghy race Tuesday 16th April.

Mooring Officer
Initial £3000 mooring fee shortfall has been recouped thus allowing sufficient funds to be
available to pay £28,000Crown Estates fees.
A list of 29 vacant moorings will be advertised within next week or so.
Key Lane have been using two club moorings and have been notified to vacate.
Pontoon Officer
Most winter rate members have vacated except one or two, and are paid up.
New Electric meters are working well.
Storage Officer
Three Flat Storage renewals remain outstanding, Holders remain to be contacted.
An up to date spreadsheet is required from the IT Officer showing online storage payments
received up to 1st March 2024 ,even if not 100% complete this will give the Storage Officer a
great deal of information which he does not have at the moment .
A copy of a 2024 Storage Renewal invoice was circulated to demonstrate the errors/corruption in
the current HSC system.
Training Officer
12 Names have been received for the RYA First Aid Course . Details to follow.
Minimum qualifications for support boat Helm/Crew to be reviewed, suggestions are . Ideally a
Support boat Crew should be RYA PB2 minimum and hold a1st Aid certificate .The Helm should
have RYA PB2 minimum or experience up to that level The Sailing Committee could approve those
without qualifications on a case by case basis . A Plan to be formulated with the Race Officer and
Vice Commodore.

Support Boat Officer
Not Present.


Sailing Club Manager
A Team headed by Ken Mizen have been carrying out Zoom meetings with the Sailing Club
Manager. Progress is going well and a report will be given atthe next Management committee
meeting.
Correspondence
Mail received from Nick Houlding asking when Launch currently under repair will be available.
Reply sent, as soon as essential repair work is completed to the Launch.
